Closing a WordPress Account Without Deleting a Page

  I’m confused by this:
  ‘Account closure cannot be undone. It will remove your account along with all your sites and all their content.’

  There are two other site admins. Why does the site depend on my user account existing?

  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hi there,
  
  If you are the site owner, the site will be deleted along with the account unless you transfer the sites to a different admin.

  Transferring ownership of the blog over to another admin will automatically remove you as a site user. Then, you’ll be able to close your account without affecting those sites.
