If I close my account will the monthly charges for the account stop?

It appears that you have deleted the WordPress.com user account that you were posting from. I’m going to assume that you have sorted out your situation. If not, please feel free to contact us again.

Just in case anyone else is wondering about this same question…
You will not be able to close your WordPress.com account without first canceling any upgrades associated with your account. More information can be found here:

However, in your case, I do not see any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. Their either means that you have a second WordPress.com user account that was used to purchase the upgrades. Or perhaps you have a site built with the WordPress open-source software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere (GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc). If this is the case, closing your WordPress.com user account will not stop the charges from your web host.
