Closing account

  I opened an account not knowing what it involved. I entered my name as Jeffrey C. Fawsett, P.E. and after doing this, when I click on any box requiring my name, it appears as:
  First Name – Jeffrey C. and Last Name – P.E. Therefore I want to close my account to stop this from happening when I click on a box to insert my name.
  I’m retired from my engineering practice, so I don’t need this site.

  Hi there,

  We don’t ask for your name anywhere in the signup process on WordPress.com, and it doesn’t look like you ever added that to your public profile after creating your account. That info was likely getting auto-filled by your browser, as it definitely wasn’t being added by our system.

  If you still want to use the jefffawsett username, you can still reverse your account closure. Please reply to the account closure confirmation email we sent you for help with that.
