Closing account and receiving a refund
-
Hi, I registered with WP, but I really didn’t understand everything I was doing. I thought I signed up for a $25 monthly withdrawal; but my receipt looked as if I had paid the entire $300 for a year. If not, then WP has about $275 of my money, AND the process is confusing and misleading. So I need help on both fronts: closing my account, and confirming whether WP owes me a refund. Thank you!!

Hi there,
For what site did you make this purchase? The WordPress.com account you’re using to post here was created 18 hours ago, owns no sites, and has not purchased anything from us.
If you made a purchase using another account, we’ll need you to comment here as that account before we can cancel and refund your purchase. Once you’re logged into the other account you’ll also be able to cancel the purchase yourself from the Purchases page, which will automatically issue your refund.
All WordPress.com plans are paid for a full year in advance. Our Plans and Pricing pages indicate that plans are billed yearly, and you would also have seen the full amount displayed on the checkout page before you completed the purchase.
