closing an account

    I have a client who has a website https://columbusunitedoshawa.wordpress.com/ and they have no idea what the username and password is or even who set the account up. Nothing has been posted since 2016 and they want to close the account. How do they do this?

    Hi there, first off, let me give you a link to our account recovery support page, just in case you can come up with the information to recover that account. It looks like the last activity on the site was about a year ago with some deletes, and the username that owns that site and account is columbusunitedoshawa.

    Recover Your Account

    If you cannot recover the account, we don’t have a lot of options, but we can discuss. See if there is anyway that you can use the account recovery form. I do see that there was some upgrade purchased, so perhaps if you can figure out who set it up, you can come up with a transaction id.
