Closing My Account
-
My account was recently infected with malware. Through Bluehost customer service I was able to delete the malware and reinstate my account. However, by doing that, my entire site was deleted. It appears as if everything I have done is gone. Which is fine, it is what it is.
I am thinking about closing my wordpress account, however I would like to keep my domain name for future use. I bought it years ago via GoDaddy. If I close my wordpress account, do I still own the domain name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OR instead of deleting it entirely, how do I completely start over? I’m not really skilled in computer language (obviously) but when I started the site I had a blog template that I added things to. How do I get back to that and start over? I would prefer to do this rather than deleting my entire account.

Hi there,
Your account here with us on WordPress.com has nothing to do with your site at http://www.somewhatplanned.com/, which is hosted on Bluehost’s servers. That site is listed in your WordPress.com account and you’re able to manage it from WordPress.com thanks to the Jetpack plugin, but your site is using the open source WordPress software installed at Bluehost, and we have no direct control over it.
Deleting your WordPress.com account will disconnect Jetpack on your site, so any features added by Jetpack that relies on that connection, like Stats and sharing buttons, will stop working, but otherwise deleting your account with us will have no effect on that site or on your domain.
