    Hi, I want to close this account so I can access my employer’s account with the same gmail address, can you help me? They want me to create a gravatar and I can’t seem to do this with this gmail address associated with my personal WordPress account. This account has been stagnant for a long time … .

    Hi there,

    If you no longer want to use this account, you can close it from your account settings:

    https://wordpress.com/me/account/

    But it will be 30 days before the email will be completely deleted, so you can use it for another account or as secondary email on a Gravatar profile.

    Keep in mind that we support Gmail aliases, so you could change your email for this account to myemail+personalwpcom[at]gmail.com, which would allow myemail[at]gmail.com to be added to the other Gravatar account. But your WordPress.com account and your own Gravatar profile will remain active, and any emails we send you for this account will still go to your Gmail inbox.
