closing WordPress account

  My new domain has WordPress for updating built in so I no longer need this account.
  Will closing it permanently affect anything on my domain?

  I also do not see that you have any upgrades with us, which you can also confirm here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  With this in mind you can follow the steps here to permanently close your account, which will remove your personal data from our service: https://wordpress.com/me/account/close

  Because we show no sites or upgrades under this account, you can safely close it and it will not affect any sites you have with other hosting providers.
