  Can you help me get the IP address for my site so I can map it to a domain I own?

  Generally we encourage users to map their domains using nameservers as described here:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Nameservers are the most foolproof way to map a domain because we cannot guarantee that our IP address will not change over time.

  Is there a specific reason nameservers won’t work for your situation?
