Collaboration possibilities
-
I perceive the Built-it-for-me option is the best choice for me, but I’m eager to collaborate a bit… is that an option? I have a sense of what I’d like in terms of color/palette & aesthetics, but haven’t finalized my logo design yet. I perceive that needs to be ready to go for the site to be built/launched, right? Pics as well?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi there, did you mean the “Do it for me” option here? https://wordpress.com/support/do-it-for-me-website-design-service/
If you wish, you can skip the logo step, but I do feel that it’s essential for our team to have in mind as they are building your site so they can make harmonious design choices. I think you will have a better experience if you wait until that asset is ready to include in your submission.
In the info-collection process, we will ask you for the text you wish to have on each of the pages you order, and we will also give you the ability to submit specific images if you want to, but that is optional. We have an extensive catalog of copyright-free photos we can choose from, so if you do not have all images that is fine, and you will still have a professional-looking site as an end result. The logo though, I do feel it is worth waiting until you have that.

There is a submission form at the start of the project that you can use to share any project info with the team (in addition to the page-specific things you submit, like page text and images). There is additional communication during the project as well. However, sites created using this process rely on themes from our existing catalog and are filled with your content. They are not custom designs, however, but existing templates personalized with your branding and content.
If you wish to have something totally custom, we also have an option for that, which you can learn more about here: https://builtbywp.com/.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
