Column height on Depo Masthead
-
I recently started blogging and chose the Depo Masthead theme (www.minorcritics.com). The description of the theme says “to keep things neat and tidy, the column heights of your the articles on the front page will always be equal, even if one article has more content than another.” But I don’t see that in practice. My columns are all different lengths, and it moves the bottom of the page down so far when I write a long post. Can’t I do a “read more” or maybe shrink the font on longer articles to keep the home page neater? I love the way the theme looks overall, but I’m finding it hard to adjust small things to make it more flexible.

What they mean is that design-wise, the overall size of the columns will match the largest.
As you can see on your blog right now, the middle post is shorter, so it has more blank space after it as the size of its column needs to match the larger posts.
You can add a Read More link following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
