  How can I switch from wordpress.com to only .com?
  I opened it yesterday and meant to pay the $18 but couldn’t finish doing it. How can I do that now?

  To add a domain, simply log into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard, click on Store–>Domains, click “register a new domain name”, enter the domain you would like to use in the box and click the “go” button. Then just follow the instructions that appear to register your domain.
