Combining WordPress accounts?

    Hi! I have an account using my personal email address and recently started following someone’s blog using my website email address, not realizing it created me an account with that email. I went to change my email from my personal to my website email on my blog site and it won’t let me because there’s already an account with my website email. Can I merge them into one? Or do I have to delete the one without my blog and wait a month before changing my email on my blog?

    Hi there,

    You’ll either have to delete the account you don’t want, or change that account’s email to something else first to free up the email currently connected to it.

    Normally after deleting an account it takes 30 days for the data to be deleted and the email address to become available. But once you delete the account we’ll send you an email to confirm. If you reply to that email you can request that we immediately delete the email address from the account, but should you do that you won’t have the option any more to reverse the account closure within 30 days, should you change your mind.
