Coming from Blogger

Hi,
I’ve went through the steps to import my blog from Blogger, however, the import has suddenly stopped mid-way. Hence, leaving me with only the first quarter or so of my blog. I’m not sure what to do now….. do I delete all my posts and re-import everything or try the import again?

the import has suddenly stopped mid-way.
I can’t see any stalled imports on mytoysempire.wordpress.com. There are currently 75 published posts and 38 draft posts on that site. Were you able to run the import successfully in the end or do you still need our help?

I have around 700 posts in my Blogger blog, however, as you have seen, only about 100 showed up in WordPress after the import. I’m not sure whether it’s because my recycle bin is too full (914 posts – as I haven’t deleted all my original posts in WordPress), so it doesn’t let me import the rest of my posts. I’ve tried to delete the posts in my recycle bin, but I kept getting an error message or a ‘You don’t have permission to delete those items’ message.
Today, I deleted all the 100 or so posts imported from last time and started over a new import (with my bin still holding 914 posts). However, this time, my import stopped at 80 posts……I thought it might be taking its time, so I checked later, but the number didn’t increase at all!!! So I’m not really sure what’s going on…. :(
Could you please kindly look into it for me? Thank you so much! ^_^

Hi adampishun,
I checked your site again today and there are now 879 posts — of which 699 are published. Imports containing a large number of posts can take a few hours so it sounds like the import may not have been complete when you last checked.

Thank you for your help! Eventually, I’ve sorted everything out! :)
I’ve managed to delete the 900 or so posts from my recycle bin (which took a long time as it only allows me to delete 20 at a time, with each time showing an error message), then I performed the import again, which was successful. So, indeed, the problem was that my recycle bin was too full, so it wouldn’t let me import. :P
