comment email notification not working

Hi,
I’m using wordpress API to post comments from ‘home’ page. In the POST body, i’m sending name and comment without emails. And I can see new comments coming in from the dashboard. My settings in general and discussion are right too. However both the site owner email and ‘home“ page author’s email aren’t receiving any notification for new comment.Thanks,

The tell us button triggers a pop up window which takes “name” and “message” and send through {{host}}/wp-json/wp/v2/comments. I can see comments posted to “home” page in the dashboards. but i don’t get any notification through emails.

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
