Comment on a yet-to-be-published post

    Hi! I’m new to using WordPress. I recently made a blog post and scheduled it to be published this afternoon at 2pm. However, someone already commented on it! It’s not a spam comment and I’d like it to stay, but how is someone commenting on a post I haven’t published yet?

    Hi there,

    Are you referring to The Great Dickens Costuming Project 2019? Looking at your site activity at https://wordpress.com/activity-log/snappydragonstitches.wordpress.com, you published that post under the title Dickens Faire 2019 Costume Plans

    The comment was left about 10 minutes later, and 25 minutes after that, the post title was changed and the post status set to scheduled.

    So it would appear that post was published for about 35 minutes before it was unpublished and set to be scheduled, and the comment was made during that time that the post was published.

    I hope that clarifies things.
