    Hi Tracey,

There are a couple different places you can enable or disable comments. One setting is under Settings > Discussion, where you can enable/disable comments on new posts you make. The other setting is on each individual post, in the Discussion module in the post editor. We have more details about those two settings here: Enable and Disable Comments

On your latest post, you have comments disabled. You can enable them by editing the post and checking the box next to “Allow comments” in the Discussion module there. The support page I linked to above has more information if your Discussion module is missing, or if you want to change the comment settings on multiple posts at a time.

Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)

    Hi Rachel:

I’ve done all of the above and comments are still gone. For example, on the post you saw disabled, my screen options showed discussion and comments checked off. . .

On the post I am currently working, the screen option does not even have a comment to check off. . .

My general discussion settings to the left, comments is checked off. . .

Never had this problem before. . . twe

    Hi there,

In the screen options (when you have the post editor open), you’ll want to make sure that Discussion is checked. That will make the Discussion module show up. This is what that option looks like: https://cloudup.com/cEtjpMWVi6O

To find the Discussion module, you can scroll down below the editor. In that module, you’ll need to check the box next to “Allow Comments” to enable comments on that post. Here’s what that module looks like: https://cloudup.com/cepwQJaCGGI

If you’d like, you can also enable comments on a bunch of posts at once. To do that, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Posts > All Posts screen in your blog dashboard.
    2. Select the posts you would like to modify or check the box next to “Title” column at the top to select all posts on that page.
    3. Select Edit from the Bulk Actions drop down menu.
    4. Click the Apply button.
    5. Change the options for Comments and Pings to Allow.
    6. Click the Update button.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
