Comments Never Imported

    I migrated from Blogger to WordPress.com a few months ago, and my comments were never migrated over. Is there any way I can get them back? I should add that I reverted all my posts on my old Blogger blog drafts again, which may affect this process.

    Hi there,

    If the comments didn’t import it means they were not included in the export file you got from Blogger. I don’t know if setting the posts to draft on Blogger could have caused that, but I guess it’s possible.

    The only way to fix this would be to get a new export file from Blogger and re-import it to the WordPress.com site. That should not duplicate any content already on the WordPress.com site, but I’m also not sure if it will import comments for a particular post if the importer detects the post has already been imported, so we might need to empty the WordPress.com site before you can re-import.

    Emptying a site cannot be reversed, though, and will also remove content you added after moving here, so try re-importing without emptying first.
