Comments not published yet… long time to publish

    My students are using WordPress to publish their writing. However the comments I am making are waiting a long time to publish….2 plus days and they are still under moderation. Can you please tell me when my comments will be moderated and published? They are helping the student in their learning so the students are disadvantaged.

    Hi there,

    Comment moderation is not an automatic process. The moderation queue exists so the site owner/post author can manually review and approve or delete comments, rather than the comments being published instantly.

    If your comments are not appearing, it’s because your students are not approving them. By default they should receive both WordPress.com and email notifications of any comments held for moderation on their sites, so your students are most likely seeing them, but they’re not approving them so they become visible on the sites.
