comments to blog based on e-course sponsored by wordpress – irritating

I started a blog this year and took an e-course. One of the parts of this course suggested getting your name out there by commenting on other blogs. Well, that’s happening – but to me! It is VERY apparent that these people have not read the blog. The comments are general and NOT on topic. They just say you give great facts. The blog is my life entering my senior years! Really? Please….puhleeze…stop that part of the e-course. I would much rather have engaging dialogue than this meaningless response stuff generated, in part, from that course. While the course does say to leave meaningful comments, I am getting anything but! I trash those comments especially when I see they’ve left their website address.

  • Hi there,

Your site grannieskoffeeklatch.com is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it is hosted by GoDaddy.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with a self-hosted WordPress site you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the self-hosted WordPress.org you can read this article:
