Complete transfer of ownership

Hello! Our organization needs to have the ownership of our WP site transferred from one admin to another. The previous domain owner completed the initial steps to transfer the domain to me, but after I updated the contact information and the owner reviewed and accepted the changes, the information reverted back to the previous contact name, address and phone an hour or so later. Can you assist us? Is there a way to discuss this outside the public forum?

Please try updating it one more time following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/update-contact-information/
Sometimes the updated information can’t be saved properly too close to the transfer.

Okay, I’ve updated it again, and WP sent me a confirmation email. Presumably it will also send one to the previous owner’s email address. He keeps getting renewal emails and such and I am trying to resolve this quickly, so he doesn’t get them any more. He foloowed all the steps to handle the transfer, but I thought there may be another step involving contacting WP, since we may have 3rd party extensions, and it is an ad-free site.

He won’t be getting any more renewal emails, those are sent to the owner of the upgrade, which has been you since the transfer.
If you confirmed the email when entering the domain contact info, that should be done too. :)

The email I just received just said “no further action is needed unless the changes were made in error,” and there was nothing for me to click. So, hopefully that’s it.
