Complicated Issue – unable to edit website
-
A previous employee has done something to my website that makes it impossible for me to sign in and edit. When I try to edit the site through my account, the owner of the website, it brings me to a wordpress login page, but says that my login credentials are incorrect. Does this mean my website is locked behind her personal login? I cannot contact her and now cannot access my website at all. I believe she could have moved it to a different hosting service, but I can still see it on my wordpress dashboard. I do not know how to proceed from here, as I have no idea where she might have moved it to or the login to access the editing capabilities of my website.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
And, they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/
