Compress elementor gallery images for free after creating gallery

I created a gallery using elementor but I now want to compress the images for quick loading.

I can’t seem to get back to the original elementor gallery image compression settings.

I’ve tried installing a few plugins like optimole and imagify, but I’m not interested in being hounded to upgrade my plugin.

Surely there is a free (free meaning actually free) way of changing the compression in my images without going back and creating the gallery again with different compression settings.

It took ages to create my gallery as I don’t have one folder on my PC that has just the images I want in the gallery so I had to choose 141 specific images out of 1200.

UPDATE. It took ages but I just managed to make a folder on my PC with all of my chosen images for the gallery so I can create a new gallery from scratch again if needed.

Would it be better to resize and compress all the images in photoshop first (for website use) before uploading to the gallery or are wordpress gallery plugins better for automatic compression?
