Hello, I have received from (email visible only to moderators and staff) a reminder to activate an email for a user that does not exist. Wrong username which logs on when I clicked on activate email.

When I log in, this user is not listed under Users.
You can see the correct logged in username and the 3 approved users. No: viviana6ad345db03
Can you help? What caused this? Just disregard? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! The username in the email appears to be your account username, which is also the username showing here in the forum.
The Users screen shows accounts that have access to that specific site. If this same account has a role there, it should be represented in that list, though it may not show with the exact label you’re comparing against.
If you recognize the email address and account, this may be a WordPress.com account email confirmation rather than a new site user. If you don’t recognize it, don’t use that link again until staff checks the account details.
I’ve flagged this for WordPress.com staff to take a closer look.

Thank you for your response. btw: it is a wordpress.com account. But we are on wordpress.org. So I’m not sure why wordpress.com would ask me to confirm this username and my correct email. Since we are on wordpress.org, should I delete this username and close the wordpress.com account? Thanks again!

You created that account yourself on 27 April, otherwise you wouldn’t have access to it. If you are using Jetpack on your site, you must have a wordpress.com account. That email asks you to confirm the email address of that account.

Hey @viviana6ad345db03,
I checked your WordPress.com account and I can confirm that it is activated.
What was preivously mentioned is correct, however, if you have any follow-up questions, please let us know!
