Confirmation about affiliate links
-
Hello, I placed a couple of affiliate links at my blog (http://justsaki.wordpress.com/) in this page http://justsaki.wordpress.com/links/ and I wanted to make sure that’s okay?
I guess it is since my blog has real content, it’s not aimed to promote stuff, and doesn’t use banners and similar. I read it here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/affiliate-link?replies=89#post-418795, so I think I might qualify as an “exception”, but I wanted to be 100% sure so I’m checking with you!
I would appreciate if someone from the staff could confirm this, otherwise, links will be removed straight away! :)
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello timethief,
Thanks for your reply, it seems I missed that completely. Sorry, my bad!
Thanks again! :) -

I am not staff, but I do think you have a problem. Because the affiliate links are explicitly NOT a part of your blog content, but are promoted on your Links page, that could step over the line. I have flagged this for staff attention.

Hello, raincoaster. I edited the links for the moment removing the affiliate links and linking just the website, just to stay safe.
I will wait to hear from staff, then. Thank you so much! :)

Hi there!
Thanks for flagging us raincoaster!
I’ve conferred with the TOS crew and we agree that these text links would be okay as affiliate links. As long as you don’t add any banner ads or image ads, you should be okay.
We do like to see affiliate links included in your blog content as raincoaster described. But in looking at your site it seems that driving traffic to those affiliates is not your main purpose.
Let me know if I can help further! And if you have any other questions about our affiliate links policies, feel free to fill out the form on the affiliate links page:

Hello!
Thank you for the clarification, so I just re-added the 2 links. Yes, my main purpose is to talk about things I love! :)
Thank you everyone for your help!
