‘Congratulations, You Have Won’ Message Popping Up On Blog Posds

    Today I added my blog link (nifflerscave.wordpress.com) to my Instagram bio like I have done lots of times before. I clicked on the link and on my newest blog post to check if I needed to edit anything. After a few seconds of reading my blog post like normal, the website started reloading and a message popped up. The message said ‘Congratulations Google User, you have won!’ and there was no option to remove it unless you clicked ‘OK’ and accepted your ‘prize’
    It’s happening to a few of my friends (on different devices) when they click on any of my blog posts, but not everyone can see it.
    Should I be worried? Please help! Thank you so much!

    Hi there, I see that you are using an URL shortener (linktr.ee) on your instagram profile rather than just your direct URL or the wp shortener URL. I’d be checking with them.

    If your device has picked up adware or malware by clicking on that link, I’d first do a scan and/or install any free antivirus/malware program and scan your device to remove anything found.

    FWIW, Google is not alerting me about malware on your site when I click on search results for your site.
