Connect an existing domain name to our wp site

  Hello,

  We would like to connect our current site, https://vinyldeptford.wordpress.com/ with a URL we have already purchsed (http://www.vinyldeptford.co.uk/).

  1. I presume we will need to upgrade our account to a Personal Account ?

  2. Question: Will there be an extra charge to connect to http://www.vinyldeptford.co.uk/ ?

  Is this the best way to do it ?

  Hi there,

  In order to use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them over to WordPress.com. Our nameservers are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Then, you’ll need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site. The Personal Plan contains the mapping upgrade and there will be no extra charge.
