Connect My Domain To WordPress

  Hi there!
  Is there any way that I can connect my domain address to WordPress without a fee? I have hosting, a domain, and now I have to pay for this also?? I thought wordpress was free to use. Can someone please explain? Thank You

  The short answer is no, if you want to use a custom domain with a WordPress.com site, you will need to be on a paid plan:

  I have hosting

  If you already have hosting, you may already have what you need. WordPress.com is a host, so if you already have a different host, you can just install the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org with your existing host. You do not need a WordPress.com site/plan.

  but if you wish to host your site here at WordPress.com and use a custom domain, you cannot do that with the free site plan.
