Connected to wrong wordpress account

    I need help. This isn’t the wordpress account that this website should be connected to. I thought if I used my google email address it would automatically link to my actual google account but it didn’t. So now I have two wordpress accounts and only one of them can I sign in with google… I’m not sure why that is how it is. Please help me. I’m not sure what I can do. I just want to consolidate all my blogs under one account and I didn’t realize I was making a whole new account because it was so quick. Please help me.

    Hey there, just to confirm, are you trying to log into the site at box5400.temp.domains ? Any account here would be separate from that, though you could potentially manage the site with Jetpack.

    No. It’s not really about the sites themselves. I need to consolidate two different wordpress accounts pretty much. One of them is under the google sign in and a different email, and the other one is under an @gmail.com email address. I want to be able to move the newer blog to the older account but it’s hosted through bluehost and I bought a domain for it so I’m not sure how to do it without messing up my whole setup.

    Hi there,

    Bluehost is a separate company from us (we are both independent providers of WordPress sites) so we are limited in our ability to help. Instead you can get assistance at this forum which is for the version of WordPress that your host uses: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

    On WordPress.com we use a custom tool for merging sites and it does not apply to how you might merge a self-hosted WordPress site (sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.) The good news is that the folks on that forum would be more familiar with how the process works in your case, and are in the best position to help.
