Connecting two domains
-
If I create a new free domain, can I include a tab that directs to an already created blog, or do I have to create a new website with blog?

Hi –
No problem. You can totally link an existing site to the site menu that you create here.
Click on My Sites – Design – Customize – Menu – Add Menu Item – Custom URL
More details here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Write back if you need more help.

Thanks for the prompt response! I will take a look there. I’m in the beginning stages of planning a new site, and brainstorming whether it would be better to link to “archived” blogs within a new website that has its own blog. I need to see what options are available once I dig in further. Thanks again!

Hi again, I thought I responded with my thanks and then my response disappeared. Thank you for your prompt answer. I will dig in more and check out my options. Right now I’m debating whether or not I should create a brand new website with blog (I’m trying to figure out if the Shawburn theme will accommodate this) with a link (if possible) to my previous blog as “archived” blogs. This is a learning process after doing the same thing for 10 years!

Hi –
The reply was caught in our spam filter. I just retrieved it. So, now you’ll see both replies published here.
Any theme can accommodate a site with blog set up. All you do is assign the posts to be published on a specific page, rather than the default, which is the front page of the site. The front page is what visitors come to first in their browser. With this set up, you’d designate the posts to published on say, “blog” page and then just link that in to your site menu.
