Contact form
-
I have tried the tutorial on how to add a contact form in wordpress from this site (https://en.support.wordpress.com/forms/contact-form/). But the visual layout does not apply to what I have on my screen:
– the tutorial shows a dropdown menu in the toolbar, where you can select and add a contact form – this dropdown menu is not visible on my screen.I have tried 3 different themes (OceanWP, Astra and now Hestia) and also tried plugins for the contact form.
I CAN receive emails to my mail hosted by Porkbun.com – but when I test the contact forms, I do not receive any mails. Can you please help me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is the private site https://plantsandbrains.wordpress.com/ the site you are working on? If you are actually talking about a different site hosted elsewhere using the WordPress.org software then things work differently there. You could use a WordPress.com contact form on a WordPress.org site if you had the JetPack plugin enabled.

Thank you so much – it worked!
That is, the JetPack Plugin to my elsewhere hosted site via WordPress.org.

However, the test mail from the contact form is not being sent to my e-mail, but only visible in Feedback in WP dashboard.
Can you help me with that? :) -
This support forum assists with sites hosted here at WordPress.com such as https://plantsandbrains.wordpress.com/ Your unnamed site hosted elsewhere is quite likely to have different functions to my own site here so I can’t offer concrete advice. Have you read:
