Contact Form

Where is this contact form that I keep seeing? Every link leads me to ask in a forum. I want an actual wordpress employee to contact.

  • Hi there!

Since you do not have any paid subscription, these forums are how you can get support.
If you let us know what you need, we’ll be happy to advise.

I feel like I need to send a screenshot to someone to show exactly what the issue is, but maybe I’m wrong. But the best way I can explain is that the website looked as it should on Friday, and on Monday I have extra “hard returns” between texts that was not there, and it will not fix as it should. I’ve had to create work arounds to get it to look at least decent. If I can’t figure out what is wrong I will have to go through each of 33 pages of the site that have this issue to use the work around I’ve figured out.

I would also like to note that the site takes too long to load and that’s with compressing all the images on the site. I’ve never had this hard of a time maintaining a website.

  • Hi there,

If you upload the screenshot into your media library, we can access it from there. To confirm, is this in regards to your WordPress.com hosted site or your self-hosted site connected via Jetpack?

    Thanks!

Here are links to what I’m talking about. I’m using the “headings” element. We’ve had this for about six months now. This suddenly started last week. There is extra spacing in places that make no sense and it messes with the consistency and flow of the web page.

For image 1055 and 1053… I had to delete the element and redo it. I have about 30 more pages that I will have to go in and do that for unless I can figure out why suddenly there is extra space.

I still do not have a solution for image 1054. Anytime I use a “header” element, the first time I hit return in the paragraph it double spaces down instead of single spaces down.

Hopefully I’m explaining this well. Appreciate any help anyone can give.

We have wordpress hosting through godaddy. I installed jetpack for site state. That’s all I use it for. Does that answer your question?

  • Ok, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

Appreciate all the attempts to help. Obviously, I need to be more knowledgeable in wordpress.com/.org.

And in case someone is curious, ha, I did figure out what to do. I’m having to replace all header elements with text elements. I’m having to do it for every page. It still boggles my mind that elements randomly stop functioning properly. Either way, it’s getting fixed, even if it is frustrating. Again, appreciate the help.
