  When I create a contact form where a user will enter their information, where will that information go initially? Do I need to create a spreadsheet to connect it to?

  The information will be send to the email address of the wordpress.com account owning that site.

  Adding to what @staartmees has shared, it’s true that by default we will send for responses to the email address we have on file for your account. However, if you wish you can also customize the form to send it to a different address, or even multiple addresses:

  https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/#change-the-email-address-messages-are-sent-to
