Contacts can no longer access blog

  • Unknown's avatar

    Good afternoon,

I’m contacting you because we’ve started a blog on WordPress.com and for some reason some of our contacts can no longer access (they were at first but cannot anymore).
    Our blog is:
    https://notrevoyagearoundilmondo.wordpress.com/

What can we do to ensure people that we added and created an account are still able to access it?

    Thank you,

    Cecile

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Cecile,

That site is set to private, so it can only be accessed by someone who has been added to the site as a viewer. You can see a list of all current viewers on your site here:

    https://wordpress.com/people/viewers/notrevoyagearoundilmondo.wordpress.com

If someone is on that list, they should be able to view your site as long as they’re logged into their WordPress.com account.

If someone on that list is not able to view your site, the most likely reason is a problem with their browser, and specifically something blocking the cookie that we use to detect whether or not they’re logged into their account.

Ask them to make sure their browser allows third party cookies, at least for the WordPress.com and wp.com domains, and then have them clear their browser cookies and log back in. If they’re using any anti-tracking add-ons in their browser that blocks cookies, have them disable that or add an exception for WordPress.com and your site.

Failing that, it would be best if the person contacted us themselves so we can troubleshoot this with them directly.
