Content disappears after "Save Draft" clicked.
-
Lately, I’ve been having a problem with my content disappearing after I click “Save Draft.” I type a couple paragraphs, save, and can return at a later date to pick up where I left off. I sign back in, write more, add a simple jpeg, save. Today, I wrote for about 1-1/2hrs, added more text and a link, saved, and all of my new content disappeared, plus all content back to the first writing disappeared. Zero trace.
Not the first time this has happened. I began writing in a text editor a few weeks ago, then copy/paste to the WordPress editor because of content vanishing after I save my draft.
This problem did not manifest while I used the basic WordPress account. The problem only began occurring after I upgraded my WordPress account for my own domainname.
I author using Firefox 20.0 on a MacBook, if that helps. Thanks

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Hi, MacManx,
1. Yep, did that one
2. 3rd party cookies were already set for “keep until they expire.”
3. I only use “AddThis” and I disabled it.
4. I had not tried this before. I have activated HTTPS from here on out.
5. I always use the latest version of Firefox; in my case Firefox 20, running on Mac OS 10.7.5 ( I think; I’m replying from a PC at the moment).I’ve had this happen several times before. Typically, right after I add captions to images, like to cite sources or give credit. In one case, I suspect a link to an Amazon book broke the entire post, but this is speculative. I was editing captions in this last post loss, though, losing everything after and including my first image.
I re-wrote the portion of the post I lost, including the images on a PC, and everything went as intended. I’m now suspicious of my Firefox/Mac authoring environment.

Hm, that could be. If it still happens after enabling HTTPS and removing the extension, try a different browser, like Safari or Chrome.
At the very least this will rule-out Firefox as the problem for you.
