Cookie and Privacy pop up

Hi. I’ve tried installing the Cookie and Privacy Pop-up. When I have done so and I go to visit mys site on my laptop running windows and on my iPhone and click accept and close button, the pop-up banner keeps on reappearing as soon as I scroll the screen which obscures the web page – especially on my iPhone. I’ve temporarily disabled it but really need it for GDPR…

Hi there,
We show a cookie notice on all free sites by default. If you then add the widget as well, the site sees that as two banners being added to the site at once, and that causes the problem you’re seeing.
We are already working on fixing this bug, but for now if you remove the widget the default banner will still display on your site. Unlike the widget it just cannot be customized.

Hi Kokkieh. Many thanks for your reply ….The thing is that when I switch the widget off I don’t get the pop-up banner coming up at all…

@stevemaslin I can confirm I see the banner on our end. If you open in an incognito window do you see it?

@stevemaslin great. I’m guessing your normal computer already accepted the cookie. Clearing cookies might make it show up again.
We’ll keep working on the banner customization issue. Cheers!
