Copying some else’s post

    I am looking to make a new post, and am trying to use the ‘copy previous post’ feature. I can see the posts, and ‘click’ on the button, but then the program gives me an error message saying it cannot find the post.
    I am NOT the author of the posts I am trying to copy. Is there a way to copy someone else’s post on my site?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    I wouldn’t expect this to be possible – Author-level users can only edit their own posts, so it makes sense to me that you’d only be able to copy your own posts as well.

    But I did some testing, and using the classic editor in WP-Admin I am able to copy posts by other authors using an Author-level account on the site.

    So either this not being possible in the My Sites editor is a bug, or it being possible in WP-Admin is a bug :)

    I’ve reported this to our developers to investigate further, but for now you should be able to copy posts by other authors if you use the editor at Posts ->Add New here:
