Correct size for the Featured Image

    I need to know the exact size of the featured image so I can upload it correctly and will look good on my blog. Thank you

    Hi,

    The Quick Specs section of the Cubic theme guide recommends featured images of 2000 x 1500 pixels. Images with both width and height larger than that but with the same aspect ratio (4:3) will be scaled without cropping on both the blog page and the single posts. Images with both width and height larger than 2000 x 1500, AND a different aspect ratio, will be cropped and scaled to that size. The featured images on the two most recent posts of the Cubic demo (“The Lake” and “Venice”) are examples of the latter case.

    The featured image on the featured post on the Cubic demo (“Hello World!) demonstrates one example of what might happen when one of the dimensions, width or height, is not adhered to. In this case, the suggested width is sufficient but the height is shorter than 1500. The image has file size of 2048 x 1365. To create the featured image, the theme reduces the width to 2000, but the height remains 1365 because 1365 is less than 1500.
