Cost of linking to a GoDaddy domain?

    I want to set up a free website but I need to use a domain purchased from GoDaddy. I assumed there would be a charge for linking to this and when I started looking last week, I am sure I saw an amount of £11 quoted somewhere. Today I don’t see that option and only see a minimum cost of £3 per month. Please can someone clarify what my price options are in this situation?

    Hi there, mapping a custom domain you’ve registered elsewhere to your WPcom site means upgrading to at least the WPcom Personal plan. Domain mapping is currently included in all plans.     All WPcom upgrade plans are paid for the full year (or two) at checkout and are automatically renewed with the payment method on record unless you opt out. Monthly payments are not available at this time.
