Create a site e-commerce site without new domain

  Is it possible to create a e-commerce website without buying a new domain? I am switching to WordPress from another small webbuilder, and I want to keep my currently website while I am building the new site.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes :) This is a very common question. Go ahead and build your new site on WordPress.com. Import your content, customize the theme, get it all ready to launch.

  Keeping the new site private will help prevent any SEO confusion since you’re going to have the same content on two different addresses.
