Created blog under wrong account
-
I came to WordPress.com to create a blog for my mom. I didn’t show as logged in when I started the process, because it seems to have had me logged in. I don’t want her blog under my account, though; I was trying to set up a new account for her. Is there any way to have it MOVED to a new account?
Blog url: http://everydayhomemaking.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. Log out of your account then create a new account with a different email address. Go to the blog that has the content you don’t want (you’ll have to log in again. Sorry, all the logging in and out is a bit of a pain but it’s still simpler than doing things manually!) and on your dashboard for that blog, under ‘tools’ you’ll see ‘export’. Export all the contents (this will create an export file somewhere on your computer, wherever you have saved it). Then go to the other blog and on the dashboard for that go to tools and click ‘import’ and import the contents into that blog.
Please be aware that you can’t create a blog with a name that is already taken and you can’t delete a blog and then reuse its name. Also, any blog that is deleted can never be used again. And accounts can never be deleted.

Thanks! For future reference, how would I log out if I’m not showing as logged in? (I didn’t show as logged in until I *finished* the process of creating the new blog.)

If you’re logged out, you won’t see the grey admin strip at the top of your window. If you’re logged in, you’ll see it! And you should be able to tell which blog you’re in by the title displayed at the top left of that bar. (If you’re viewing someone else’s blog while logged in, you’ll see that name – that might be where there is some confusion.)
To log out, hover your cursor over your name at the top right of the admin strip and you’ll see the ‘sign out’ link. If it’s not there, then you’re obviously logged out!
