  Hi, I have an active website, which I have built on a platform called Thinkific, which is set up to support online training providers such as myself. However, they do not have a built-in blog feature, so they suggest using WordPress then setting up an external link in my site header. My domain, with which I have already built the website, is registered with Ionos. What is the easiest way for me to build a blog page, which I can just have a link to from my current website?

  Hi,

  How important is it for your blog to have the exact same URL as your main site? If you would be satisfied with a _______.wordpress.com URL, then you can just set up a free blog here and link to it.

  Now, say your site URL is (for example) yourgroovydomain.com and you’d like to use a domain such as blog.yourgroovydomain.com for your blog URL. If that is the case, you’ll want to purchase a WordPress.com plan:

  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  …and then use these instructions to set up a custom subdomain:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-subdomain/
