Creating a list

  Hi! I am new to all of this. I want to create a list of my favorite cookbooks, but not in a post, but in a place that with one click the list would pop up for people to read. It would be nice for it to be in the side bar. Is this possible?

  You can’t do any sort of “popup” here. You can put the cookbook list in a page and then have a link to it from your sidebar and set the link to open in a new browser tab or window.

  Alternately your could use a text widget in the sidebar and then put the list in that. It would be static in the sidebar and always visible.

  Ok. I didn’t actually mean a pop up! Sorry! Lol. But it sounds like the text widget is what I want. Is that what I should look for a “text” widget? Or is it called something else?

  Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets >> Text

  Drag and drop the Text Widget to the Sidebar then add the link to your Page with the list.
