creating a test site

  I’d like to create a test site to see if a friend likes it. She already has a domain so I can’t use that. Can I call the site anything and then have the actual domain switched later?

  Yes, you can definitely do that. It’s actually pretty common because folks don’t like to move their domain until the new site is ready.
