Creating an account confirmation link going to wrong email

  I accidently typed @gmail.com.au instead of just @gmail.com like a dope. Where can i contact support to get this fixed or fix it myself?

  Hi there!

  These things happen more often than you would think, so no worries :).
  However, I can see that the email on your account ends in gmail.com, just as it should. Are you all set, or are you talking about a different account of yours?

  Different account unfortunately. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  @wyattianmolyneaux are you able to log out and log in with the account with the bad email? If so, you should be able to update the email address.

  Noting too, if you have an error saying the address is already in use, you can use an alias if needed. Just add a dot before the @ sign; that’ll work for your mail provider.

  You mean just switching the email on this account, to the one i’m having issue with?
  Because that would work and i don’t know why i didn’t think to try it first. Assume it worked if i don’t reply to this within 24 hours
