Creating multiple fullscreen video backgrounds on single page

    Hello!

I’ve been struggling with this for weeks and would really appreciate your help.

I’m trying to update my video portfolio WordPress site and want to have a homepage that has a series of fullscreen videos (stuff I’ve made, hosted on Vimeo) that a user scrolls down between.

So, on opening the website, the user would see a single full-screen video (with my name overlaid at the top, and the title of the film at the bottom). If they scroll down they’ll see another video playing (with the title of the film at the bottom). There’ll be about 4-5 of these full screen videos before, ideally, a portfolio of other films.

I’ve purchased Elementor Pro and am using Phlox as the template. I’ve worked out how to create a full-screen video background (I think) by creating a ‘Heading’ block and then setting the padding to either 1080 pixels or 100%. However, having created that I then can’t scroll down to view/work on the other sections.

Would really, really appreciate your help as I’m losing my mind trying to make this work!

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

The site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on 3rd party web hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and other hosting providers also happen to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. Specifically we do not offer the Elementor editor (or the Phlox theme) here on WordPress.com. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

You may also wish to contact Elementor’s support team for more assistance.

Hope that points you in the right direction!
