Creating Multiple Sites – Different domain names

We are starting to create websites for clients and want to know, do we have to set up a wordpress account for each client? Or can we use our account and set up admins for different clients to maintain their individual domains?

It is possible to transfer the ownership of sites under your account to be owned by another WordPress.com account by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

If you wish you can do this instead. Start the sites for your clients, and invite them to be an admin on the site. In that case I recommend that you have the client purchase their own upgrade (on their account) as they will not be able to manage renewals if it is purchased under your account.
