Critical Error
-
The website I’m working on is running fine. But it displays a ‘critical error’ message when I try to access the dashboard. The site also tells me to check the site admin email box for instructions, but my manager doesn’t have access to that email anymore. I would like to continue editing the website, what should I do?

Hey there, can you contact your host for help with this?
https://wordpress.org/support/article/common-wordpress-errors/That will help you work through typical causes of such an error.
Going forward, these forums are for the sites hosted here on our servers. There is another forum for the free WordPress software that you’ll want to use instead. You can find that here:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/And if you’d like more info about the difference between the WordPress software and the services by WordPress.com, we have more info here. We take care of issues like this for our users, and provide ongoing maintenance, security, and support. Let us know if you have any questions!

OK. Looks like you’re with Bluehost. They can likely help you get to the bottom of this, or restore a recent backup for you.
Once you’ve got that working, if you’d like us to take care of site management and backups for you, you’d be welcome to move the site to our services, but we also offer some of our management via Jetpack backups and scan services:
