critical error

  I need help recovering my site. I was doing some updating of info on the site, when I saw that I needed to do updates. I clicked ‘update all’ and I have not been able to access my site since then. I just get the ‘critical error’ message when I try to log in. Please let me know if you are able to help me to recover a previous version, or if you can help to resolve this issue without having to revert the site(which is preferable). Thank you
