Critical Error
-
Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help with my website. Whenever anyone tries to access the site I get a message saying that there has been a critical error. Is there any easy way to go about fixing this?
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Sorry to hear that! Can you send a link to the site?
If the site isn’t hosted with us, we most likely can’t help much. But here are a few ideas:
– Check to see if you have an admin email with clues
– Ask your host to check error logs
– If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, you can manually remove one like so (especially if it’s mentioned in errors):
https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/#manual-uninstallation– Ask your host to help you restore a good backup
Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct resources for help with the free WordPress code. We have some tips here: https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/#word-press-org-support
WordPress.com uses that free code for our hosting service. We provide support, maintenance, SSL, and more for our users. Once you’ve resolved this issue, if you’d like to move the site to our services so we can be more involved in helping you, let us know. You can find our pricing here:
